Going to the Moon, the motor vehicle, the submarine, the fax and Internet... It is true to say that he discovered all this a century in advance. We wonder now if on reading Journey to the Centre of the Earth, we would be capable of deciphering the secret codes that Verne hid there that give precise clues to the prophecy that lies buried in the story. Critics consider that this work, that has been put on the big screen ten times, is Jules Verne's best. The odyssey that it describes has, as its main characters, a professor of mineralogy, his nephew and an Icelandic guide. They go down into an extinct volcano in a corner of Iceland after a coded text of a 13th century sage is found claiming to have discovered an underground world there. This is the starting point for a journey to the centre of the Earth that makes a scientific theory that is not accepted by conventional science become reality, though if forms a part of the ancient traditions of the Brahmins, Buddhists, Hebrews and primitive American cultures. La odisea que en ella describe est? protagonizada por un profesor de mineralog?a, su sobrino y un gu?a island?s, que tras el descubrimiento de un texto cifrado de un sabio del siglo XVII que aseguraba haber descubierto un mundo intraterreno se adentran en un volc?n apagado en un rec?ndito lugar de Islandia. ?se es el punto de partida de su periplo al centro de la Tierra, que convierte en realidad una teor?a cient?fica no aceptada por la ciencia convencional, pero que forma parte de antiguas tradiciones braham?nicas, budistas, hebreas y de primitivas culturas americanas.
